Thomas Bryde Hansen is a partner with HAFNIA LAW FIRM.
Thomas was born in 1975 and obtained his law degree from the University of Copenhagen in 2002. From February 2002 to February 2010 Thomas worked with the law firm of Kromann Reumert where he specialised in shipping-, maritime and transportation law.
Practice areas
Thomas works within all areas of shipping both in contingent and non-contingent matters. Thomas pre-dominantly advises in the following matters:
• Bunker contracts, bunker disputes and other bunker related matters
• Collecting of claims for the shipping industry on a world-wide basis
• Ship building, -repair and other yard contracts
• Establishing of shipping companies and ship registration
• Sale and purchase of vessels
• Drafting of Charter-parties and Charter-party disputes
• Disputes related to the carriage of goods by all modes of transport
• Oil-pollution and other pollution at sea
• Collisions, salvage and wreck-removal
Thomas is admitted to the High Court and has extensive litigation experience within the scope of his practice.
Thomas has from 2002 to 2010 worked as external lecturer at the University of Copenhagen where he has lectured on international transport law, private international law and international sales of goods. Thomas is a frequent lecturer in other shipping fora as well.
